Professor U Maung Maung Aye

U Maung Maung Aye is one of the patrons of MEIF. He received M.A (Geomorphology) degree from James Cook University, Australia. He retired from Yangon University of Distance Education as Adjunct Rector. He also is a chairperson in Myanmar Geographical Association (MGA) and member of Arts and Science (MAAS). His Specialization in academic teaching and research is Fluvial Geomorphology and Environmental Science.

U Win Aung

B.Sc (Chemistry)

U Win Aung is one of the patrons of MEIF. He got his B.Sc (Chemistry) from Yangon University. He is a representative of Blue Moon fund and Member of Board of Director, Myanmar Biodiversity Fund. He has many collaboration work with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.

Professor Dr Saw Pyone Naing

Dr Saw Pyone Naing is one of the patrons of MEIF. He received his B.A, B.A(Honus), M.A (Geography)degree from Yangon University and PhD (Systems Science) from Tokyo University. His specialization is Human Geography, Environmental Studies and Environmental Research Methodology.

Daw Khin Ohnmar Htwe

B.A, M.A. (Geography)

Daw Khin Ohnmar Htwe is a Chairman of MEIF. She received B.A and M.A (Geography) degree from Yangon University. She worked as a teaching staff In Yangon University and environmental experts in REM, REM-UAE, CRE and MEIF.

U Win Naing Tun

U Win Naing Tun is a Secretary of MEIF. He received B.Sc.(Geology), D.B.L, D.I.R, Dip. GIS, PGDip. Arch, M.A.(Archaeology), M.Res.(Archaeology), MPA, and M.A (Business Law) from Yangon University. He is a geologist and also expert of GIS and Archaeology.

U Sein Tun

BE (Civil) Yangon Institute of Technology Diploma in Environmental Engineering,
Yangon Institute of Technology

U Sein Tun is one of the Directors of MEIF. He received BE (Civil) and Diploma in Environmental Engineering from Yangon Institute of Technology. His specialized in Water Resources Engineering. He worked in Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems (DWIR) and retired as Deputy Director General from DWIR.

Daw San San Maw

Daw San San Maw is one of the Directors of MEIF. She received M.Ed (Methodology) from Sagaing University of Education and retired as Associate Professor from Sagaing University of Education. She specialized in Environmental Education and Educational Methodology.

U Sa Aung Thu

Director, Environmental Conservation Department

U Sa Aung Thu is one of the Directors of MEIF. He received his B.Sc (Forestry) degree from University of Forestry and Environmental Science and M.Sc (Environmental Policy and Management) degree from University of Seoul, Korea. He worked in Environmental Conservation Department (ECD) and retired as a Director of Environmental Conservation Department. His specialization is Environmental Policy and Management.

Currently serving as a Director at the MEIF, his previous experiences include serving as Assistant Director at Disaster Management Department and Project Coordinator at Myanmar Environmental Institute and An experienced professional in disaster management, environmental management, and community development, currently serving as Assistant Director in the Disaster Management Department. In this role, he coordinates closely with government bodies, international agencies, and civil society organizations to strengthen disaster preparedness, response, and resilience.
